Transform your garden with our premium two-tier sleeper raised bed kits — the ideal 40cm height for growing herbs, vegetables, and flowers in style. Made from sustainably sourced, pressure-treated timber that’s built to last.
No brackets. No liner required. Just position the sleepers, drive in the self-driving screws with your drill, and you're done. A solid, elegant raised bed that's ready in minutes and built to last; the beauty of using garden sleepers.
Garden Sleepers vs. Thin Timber Boards – Why the Difference Matters
We found many of our customers were looking to build a raised bed using our garden sleepers due to their thickness – for the improved aesthetics, durability and cost effectiveness when compared against cheaper alternatives typically made from incredibly thin, lightweight timber boards that warp quickly and require replacing every few seasons.
The problem with cutting lengths of treated tanalised sleepers yourself is that freshly cut edges are no longer protected and require additional edge treatment – not to mention the expense and safety considerations of professional cutting saws.
For this reason we offer a variety of raised garden bed kits which include everything you need – the correct sizes of sleepers with self-driving screws and simple instructions.
User Friendly and Manageable Weight
Despite our sleepers being a chunky 100mm x 200mm in thickness, our longest 2200mm sleeper weighs only around 25kg thanks to their high-quality softwood construction. This makes them far easier to handle than you might expect — most people can move them solo, or with ease as a pair if you prefer to share the lift.
Our raised garden beds are pressure treated, offering long term protection from insect damage and rot for many years.
Thousands of growers across the UK use our kits to replace their existing deteriorating raised beds, while newcomers transform unused spaces into green havens — whether it’s a family garden or a community allotment.
What's Included?
Each kit contains 8 individual sleepers, selected from our 2200mm, 1200mm, or 600mm lengths based on your chosen size.
The kit includes 18 self-driving sleeper screws and a compatible drill bit - no pilot holes needed. Simply use an 18V drill to assemble your raised bed quickly and easily.
Safe Nationwide Delivery
Your sleepers and screws will arrive on a pallet which will be unloaded to the ground by the driver using a pallet trolley from a tail-lift vehicle nearest to your property - usually the start of your drive. You can then move the individual sleepers safely to your ideal location to assemble at your convenience.
Installation Tips – Patios, Concrete, Grass & Soil
Our raised beds are built from thick, pressure-treated sleepers that naturally resist rot and moisture — no liner needed.
On patios or concrete: Add a shallow 2cm layer of gravel inside the base before filling with soil. This improves drainage and helps prevent standing water. There’s no need to elevate the bed off the ground.
On grass or soil: Laying a breathable weed membrane at the base is optional and only recommended for weed-heavy areas. It helps suppress regrowth and cuts down on future maintenance.

Soil Requirements
Use the table below to estimate how much soil is needed for each kit. These figures are approximate, as the density of soil can vary slightly and some settling should be expected once placed.
We supply premium-grade loam topsoil in 800L bulk bags, suitable for all our raised bed kits. Click here to view and purchase topsoil to ensure you have everything required for your project.
