Barbara purchased one of our 2300mm x 700mm raised bed kits and kindly sent us this update along with a photo.

“Attached are photos of my raised bed in early March, May and early July. I found the assembly to be straightforward.

As an experiment to see what best suited the set-up and location, I planted the bed with an eclectic mix of plants grown from seed — including globe artichokes, courgettes, various herbs, radishes and lettuce. I also planted a border of borage in front of the bed for the benefit of the bees.

This year, I’m planning to use the bed mainly for perennials, as the globe artichokes did very well last year. I’m also hoping to buy and assemble a second bed for herbs and salad plants.”
